CNS 15390 與 ISO 9999（系列之五）

前情提要：CNS 15390 採用的 ICS 國際標準分類碼錯誤、目錄缺漏三層分類的部份（詳見系列之一）。CNS 15390 分類代碼 04 27 15、05 06 12 採用的名詞翻譯不夠理想，分類代碼 05 06 09、06 30 24 的定義可能需要調整，且分類代碼 04 27 15 的定義已經跟不上 ISO 9999:2016（見系列之二），分類代碼 22 06 內容有若干錯誤及不當之處（見系列之三），分類代碼 22 18 許多專有名詞的翻譯弄錯（見系列之四）。

本文接著檢視分類代碼 22 24 及其下的第三層分類，這部分與電信（telecommunication）相關，有許多專有名詞，不意外地 CNS 15390 在翻譯工作上也還有許多改進空間。

分類代碼 22 24

CNS 15390: 電話使用輔具（及電訊）
ISO 9999:2007: Assistive products for telephoning (and telematic messaging)
ISO 9999:2016: Assistive products for telephoning and telematic messaging

CNS 15390 在分類名稱用上「電訊」這個詞，其實跟 ISO 9999 的 telematic messaging 不同；「電訊」通常是 telecommunications 的翻譯（因此會跟「電信」混用），而 telematic 則常譯為「遠距通信」，所以 telematic messaging 應該譯為「遠距通信傳訊」較恰當。另外 CNS 15390 在整個分類名稱的構詞上也不是很恰當，因為目前的寫法很容易斷詞為「輔具及電訊」，實際上應該譯為「電話使用及遠距通信傳訊之輔具」比較不會產生誤解。

ISO 9999:2007 將 telematic messaging 放在括號內，ISO 9999:2016 則把它從括號拿到外面來，更加扶正 telematic messaging 功能在這個輔具分類中的重要性。

CNS 15390 翻譯這個分類名稱的時候大概有了些誤解，或者是翻譯出來的名稱很容易讓人產生誤解；總之，standard network telephones 指的是使用 standard network 的電話，而 network 這個詞彙在討論電信設備或電信系統的時候，通常譯為「網絡」。這個分類名稱如果譯為「標準網絡型電話」可能比較好懂。

接著在舉例說明的部份中，CNS 15390 直接從字面上把 loud speaking 翻譯為擴音器，雖然不能算錯，不過很難從這樣的翻譯理解到原本 ISO 9999:2007 在這裡指的是 loud speaking telephones，即「揚聲電話」，不是單純做為擴音功能的那種大聲公擴音器。

ISO 9999:2016 在這個分類的舉例說明中，除了把 loud speaking 改為 loudspeakers，讓語句更容易理解為指配備揚聲喇叭的電話，另外還多加進網際網路電話（internet telephones）、觸覺電話（tactile telephones）也屬於本分類。

最後，ISO 9999 列出相關輔具分類（聽覺輔具，分類代碼 22 06），但 CNS 15390 沒有。

這個分類名稱應該要與 22 24 03 形成對比，故以「行動網絡型電話」的譯法可能更好。舉例說明的部份也可以稍加潤飾，例如：「包括車用電話、可攜式短距離電話，也包括免持、內建攝像功能等電話機型」。

其實 Braille 做為專有名詞，就是「點字」的意思，CNS 15390 寫成「Braille 點字」有點過於限定，很像是在指稱某一種特定的點字系統。

ISO 9999:2016 對這個分類擴大涵蓋範圍，把分類名稱直接改掉變成「即時文字通訊之裝置與軟體」，在說明的部份涵蓋原有的行動文字電話、點字輸入／輸出電話，另外又加上「用於即時文字交談的裝置與軟體」；換句話說，文字型態的即時傳訊軟體也都可以依 ISO 9999:2016 納入此類。

此分類的名稱及內容描述跟分類代碼 22 24 的情況一樣，其中 telematics 可能譯為「遠距通信」較合適。另外在描述中的「言語」也可以考慮譯為「口語」比較符合，整句話的翻譯可以再精準一點，例如「在電腦之間，透過電腦網路傳輸的口語或視訊溝通軟體」。

由於這個分類包納許多新的網路科技，其列舉範例可能相當重要，然而 CNS 15390 在此遺漏了 ISO 9999:2007 提供的例子：網際網路電話（Internet Phone Telephony，或縮寫為 IP Telephony）軟體，十分可惜；ISO 9999:2016 為了反應科技發展，在舉例說明的部份做了些增添及調整：「包括網際協定（IP）、網際網路協定通話技術（VoIP，也稱 IP Telephony）軟體、電話會議軟體、網際網路式視訊通訊系統，也包括改善智慧型手機與平板相關功能使用的應用程式（apps）。」

ISO 9999:2016 稍微修改了此分類的說明描述，改稱此類輔具為「可單獨運作的電子通訊系統，針對位處不同位置的兩人或多人，促使其得以進行非開放對話或私人對話」，讓這類輔具的目的、功能、組成要件等更為清晰易懂。
