顯然 CNS 15390 對於分類代碼 22 06 的說明比 ISO 9999 短少許多，而且也令人有些困惑，那個「調類」是什麼意思呢？對照 ISO 9999 的原文「modulating」，有些讀者可能會覺得是 FM（Frequency Modulation）中那個「調變」的意思，這樣子解讀會跟 ISO 9999 的分類架構無法對映，因為相關輔具其實屬於 22 18 24 類別（本系列之後會檢視到那部分）；實際上 modulating 在這邊就是個一般詞，意思是對聲音的各種調整，包括對聲音音質或音調的改變。

ISO 9999 對這個分類代碼特別提出一個例子是助聽器，而且還說明是內建耳鳴遮蔽功能、內建感應線圈元件的助聽器，這是有意義的例子，因為說明著若某個輔具同時具備助聽器的功能、耳鳴遮蔽器（聲音刺激器）的功能、感應線圈的功能，在分類上是以助聽器的部份為主，因此要歸類於 22 06，而非歸類於接下來的兩個排除類別：

第一個排除在 22 06 之外的相關輔具類別是耳鳴遮蔽器（ISO 9999:2007，請注意此處使用的類別名稱與實際在分類代碼中採用的不同，算是 ISO 9999:2007 的編輯疏失）或聲音刺激器（ISO 9999:2016），後者在 ISO 9999:2016 的定義有放寬、納入更多輔具。請參考分類代碼 04 27 15。

第二個排除在 22 06 之外的相關輔具類別是感應線圈裝置，此類輔具要歸到 22 18 30，本系列之後還會檢視到該部分。

CNS 15390 缺少上述這樣的說明，分類應用上可能會比較模糊。

CNS 15390 對這個分類的描述正確，但是類別名稱「耳內喇叭裝置」並不是很好的翻譯。Ear-trumpets 通常是一種號角狀（因此也有 Ear Horn 這種名稱）的裝置，但是為了聚集聲音，並不會放置在耳內，而是放在耳朵上或耳朵外，頂多是部分設備有個較小的開口塞入耳道內。把這種輔具稱為「耳朵喇叭」可能比「耳內喇叭」更適合。目前市面上也有稱為「集音耳罩」的產品，就是屬於此類輔具。

CNS 15390 對這個分類的描述正確，不過採用的譯法在國內較罕見；Body-worn hearing aids 比較常用的說法應該是「體配型助聽器」。口袋型助聽器也屬於這個類別。

CNS 15390 採用的描述定義跟 ISO 9999:2007 的很像，不過 ISO 9999:2016 重新調整過語句，把「鏡框內有電子電路的裝置」改寫成「內建電子擴音裝置的鏡框」，語意上更為明確清楚，也可以避免智慧眼鏡、虛擬實境眼鏡等同樣「鏡框內有電子電路的裝置」誤歸此類。

CNS 15390 對這個分類描述的奇怪之處在於「內管助聽器」這個譯法，其實 in-the-canal 應該要說「耳道式助聽器」才符合國內常用術語。當然，深耳道式助聽器以及各種訂製型助聽器大概都屬於這一類。

CNS 15390 提到了一種「頭戴式」助聽器，headband hearing aids 指的應該是以頭箍或頭帶固定在頭部的助聽器，這類型助聽器通常屬於非植入式的骨導助聽器。

ISO 9999 跟 CNS 15390 開宗明義都把「植入裝置」排除在輔具分類架構之外，因此以人工電子來說，其植入部分（電極元件）就不屬於輔具，但是其體外部分（語言或聲音處理器、相關配件等）仍然屬於輔具，可以根據 ISO 9999 或 CNS 15390 加以分類。

可以植入體內、接受刺激而達到聽覺或助聽效果的醫療器材有很多種，不限於人工電子耳，ISO 9999 雖然以「植入內耳的植入物」為例，但沒有排除中耳植入物、骨植入物等醫療器材；CNS 15390 卻明確限定在人工電子耳這一種植入物，導致無法涵蓋骨植入式助聽器語言處理器及中耳植入輔具語言處理器等項目。換句話說，CNS 15390 對此分類代碼的定義比 ISO 9999 狹隘許多。

另外補充一點，分類名稱中的「連接」不一定要透過實際碰觸的方式，而是概念上的連接，因此包括無線感應式的連接。

此分類就是一般人用來聆聽音樂的那種耳機。ISO 9999:2016 將這類輔具重新編排到 22 18 38 類別，也就是認為這類輔具更傾向於處理聽覺、視覺、錄影資訊，而非單純的聽覺輔具。

ISO 9999:2007 舉的例子中有個 stereos，到了 CNS 15390 變成「攝影機」，這是很奇怪的變化；stereos 指的其實是能夠播放聲音內容的（立體聲的）音響設備，而攝影機是攝錄器材，通常可能外接麥克風，卻幾乎不需要連接耳機。這很有可能是 CNS 15390 的翻譯錯誤。

CNS 15390 對這一類的描述有些很奇怪的內容，例如「視覺連接」、「眼鏡調整」，讓人看得一頭霧水；比較 ISO 9999:2007 的內容，可以發現十之八九是 CNS 15390 翻譯錯誤或翻譯不當。Audio connections 絕對不是「視覺」連接，而是指各種可以配接聲音輸入的配件（不論是有線或無線方式連接）；spectacle adaptations 則是針對分類代碼 22 06 09 輔具項目，為了配戴及使用鏡架式助聽器所用到的相關零件或配件。

ISO 9999:2016 對這個分類又明確增加幾個範例：（搭配助聽器使用的）軟體、（一次性、不可充電的）電池、可充電式電池、電池充電器等，同樣也屬於此分類。
