Web Accessibility Resources

Web Accessibility Toolbar

Accessible Information Solutions Web Team has developed a Web Accessibility Toolbar for Internet Explorer to help developers assess many aspects of a Web Page that impact on accessibility.

Policies and Guidelines

In Australia, the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) of 1992 has been clearly established to apply to the delivery of online information and services. All Australian Governments, many State Libraries, many Universities and several Industry Organisations have clear policies and guidelines relating to web accessibility.

Papers and Presentations

Accessible Information Solutions staff regularly make presentations at seminars and conferences in Australia and Internationally.

Books

While there are a vast range of resources about web accessibility on the web, there are also many good books written on the subject. This list contains some that we have found useful, and allows you to purchase from the author or Amazon.

IT-Test

Accessible Information Solutions is a member of the IT-Test Consortium established to help the ICT industry meet accessibility guidelines and standards and ensure all products and services are accessible to all.
