Accessible Solutions - Online and Web

While the Internet is an exciting technological tool, it requires innovative design to make a web site accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities.

Web Testing and Consulting

The web accessibility team at Accessible Information Solutions works with our customers to help them deliver world best practice in web sites and online services that are accessible to all.

Our experienced staff:
  • work with designers and developers during site development,
  • conduct reviews of existing sites, and
  • carry out testing with users of assistive technology.
Our reports provide detailed recommendations for action and our expert staff are available to support the developers to implement them. We endeavour to transfer knowledge to your team during our engagement.

We base our work on the standards set by the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and adopted in Australia.

For more information on how the Accessible Information Solutions specialist consulting service can help you achieve the highest standards in website and online accessibility, please contact Andrew Arch (telephone 03 9864 9282; email andrew.arch@nils.org.au).

Workshops and Training

The web accessibility team at Accessible Information Solutions runs workshops across Australia to enable companies and organisations to achieve the highest standards in website accessibility to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities.

Our public workshops, Designing for an Accessible Web, provide an introduction to accessibility issues and how to address them. The workshops also present information about global standards for web content accessibility from the World Wide Web Consortium. Please check the details of our current web accessibility workshop program, or contact Andrew Arch (telephone (03) 9864 9282; email andrew.arch@nils.org.au).

Customised workshops to meet the specific needs of organisations and web teams can be arranged. These have been very successful in building web teams and cementing relationships between in-house and contract developers.

Advanced workshops will be offered in 2005/06. If you are interested please contact Andrew Arch (telephone 03 9864 9282; email andrew.arch@nils.org.au).
