MACHINES DESIRANTES

I agree with Major that emotion or thinking is a fatal drawback for a weapon...but タチコマ is so cute... must they retire?Q_Q

“この国を今一匹の亡霊が徘徊している.資本主義という名の亡霊が”

フェム and Major somehow look alike, and I was kind of confused, unable to determine who's who. :P

The last scene in which the screne of Togusa's wife's computer aroused some discussion between OnlyBlue, davidyu, and me. Is it only an irony or echo to the them capitalism or is it that the computer is hacked? I prefer the former interpretation, thougth.

By the way, I really begin to be fond of バトー. :D

ESCAPE FROM

Still a peaceful episode. I agree with the director; it's the most convenient way to realize one's dream in one's mind. But, no justification, this does help lazy people escape from realistic barriers and perhaps could be called as cheating.
(Well, I may be too serious, haha.)

No matter children or adults, human beings are all confined more or less, well, in prisons built by humans themselves, with excuses or reasons. Just like the facility, while it claims to do good for those children who can't adapt to the outer society, it also uses children's talent for its own end. Another example is the movie/manga BR, those who created the game should play it first if the end of the game is so justified as they claimed. Next time when critics want to criticize youths or children for any weakness, I hope those "sages" could think about or , better, give any explanation for this sick soceity structured by themselves.

These days I become more tolerable with selfishness. I think I do become mature. However, I become more intolerable with hypocrisy, incongruence and excuses at the same time. Call me cynical, I won't mind.

Missing Hearts

Pluto

Well, well, compared to Jungle Cruise, this episode llooks like a happy bivouac. :P

Major is really cool and I find that I am indeed fond of バトー, who's kind of funny in this episode. By the way, タチコマ is very cute in some way, like naughty children. :D

In this episode バトー is really cool. And I assume the playwright doesn't like CIA much. :P
(USA may be the largest terrorism state, under ignorant democracy it's prabable!)

Missing in the jungle, there is no exit. Resuming the nonexisting war, killing innocent people, indeed the killer commited crime. But the CIA which wants to conceal the fact that it produced the killing and cruel war is shamelessly guilty.

Ghost in the shell

Stand Alone Complex #9

This episode is excellent, especially the virtual chatting room. And the manner of the debate is somewhat near that of the original manga, complex and changing.

Moreover, there's another interesting viewpoiint about the sex of the 笑い男. If one uses the male 義体, then even one has female ghost/soul originally, it would be hard to determine one's sex. Perhaps only with such consciousness of confusing sex identity can a soceity reach sexual equality. (I know, I know, I am too innocent and people always find their ways to torture others. But well, it's just a conjecture.)

woke from dreaming

http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/gunslingergirl/wokefromdreaming.htm

Woke from dreaming, walking when dreaming; living when dreaming; living when dying. We'll kill if need to.

That's why I never want to wake up.

Woke From Dreaming

performer: the delgados

Woke from dreaming but it took convincing
I was shaking screaming I was still alive

And you were picking strangers by the side of roadways
Little little let the danger unfold

You can do what you do if you think you'll take it
You can do what you do if you are that way inclined

Suffer with silk as the pressur's tighter
You have skin pale as milk with the pressure on

My heart is getting heavy and my hands are weak now
Hatred lifting and I'll start to weep now

You can do what you do if you think you'll take it
You can do what you do if you are that way inclined

Just for a moment can we take a little time
Just stop for a moment can we make this moment mine
I've tried to let go but I've never had much to say
Take a day take them all now

Just for a moment can we take a little time
Just stop for a moment can we look inside this mind
We try to control but we never quite know what's there
We will kill if we need to

I Cry

Yuri Chika Lyrics - I Cry Lyrics
Yuri Chica
sweet voice, sad lyrics. I hardly have sleepless nights though no one hears me cry for I hide.

I Cry
Yuri Chika

Every night I find it so hard to sleep
Cause I keep thinking of you
And these feelings from deep
Oh baby I try to hide all these feelings for you
I keep them all out of sight
I don't know what else to do

So I cry
But nobody hears me I cry
It's my only solution I cry
To all this confusion I cry
With all of my heart I cry

Sometimes I wonder in the blink of a night
Would you be waiting to love me
Would you give it a try
I don't know how it's to show you
That I'm not good be real
I'll be eternally faithful
Forever I feel

So I cry
But nobody hears me I cry
It's my only solution I cry
To all this confusion I cry
With all of my heart I cry

No one can tell me that I may be wrong
Cause I know in my heart
This feeling still running strong

Can't get you out of my head
Can't get you out of my heart
Can't get you out of my life
No matter it fell apart

So I cry
But nobody hears me I cry
It's my only solution I cry
To all this confusion I cry
With all of my heart I cry

But nobody hears me I cry
It's my only solution I cry
To all this confusion I cry
With all of my heart I cry

In the Red Zone

Ursula K. Le Guin

destruction, desolation; something we may never think during the passion of war.

At Meta Lake

There are no mirrors here.

This is a labyrinth where none of the ways leads in or out
but all the arrows point the same direction .
It is easy to compare to Hell,
but then where are you?
Hell has to do with justice.
This has not.
This has nothnig to do with us at all except as we are fir, are fern, are trout, are jay, are elk.
The bones of deer are in this ash.
This is not punishment.
We have no claim on it. It does not regard us.

Our crimes can only imitate.
It is we who hold the mirror up.
This is not Hell.

Othello

I don't know why; it's just difficult for me to appreciate Shakespeare.
Anyway, let tragedy be tragedy, life be life.

"She loved me for the dangers I had passed,
And I loved her that she did pity them." --Othello

"But words are words. I never yet did hear
That the bruised heart was pierced through the ear." --Brabanzio

"She has deceived her father, and may thee." --Brabanzio

"It's sillness to live when to live is torment; and then have
we a prescription to die when death is our physician." --Roderigo

"For I am nothing if not critical." --Iago

"If that the earth could teem with woman's tears.
Iachdrop she falls would prove a crocodile." --Othello

"Then must you speak
Of one that loved not wisely but too well,
Of one not easily jealous but, being wrought,
Perplexed in the extreme; of one whose hand
Like the base Indian, threw a pearl away
Richer than all his tribe; of one whose subdued eyes,
Albeit unused to the melting mood,
Drops tears as fast as the Arabian trees
Their medicinable gum" --Othello

The Praise of Folly

Desiderius Erasmus
Interesting, interesting.
I believe that all happiness is sprung from folly.

"In short, I am the one that wise man must come to--
I repeat, he must come to me-- if he ever wants to
be a father."

"But to destroy the illusions in this fashion would
spoil the whole play."

"True, all these images are unreal, but this play
cannot be performed in any other way."

"True prudence, on the other hand, recognizes
human limitationsa nd does not strive to leap
beyond them; it is willing to run with the herd,
to overlook faults tolerantly or to share them
in a friendly spirit. But, they say, that is
exactly what we mean by folly. I will hardly
deny it-- as long as they will reciprocate by
admitting that this is exactly what it means
to perform the play of life."

"But shame, disgrace, reproaches, curses do harm
only insofar as they are perceived."

"Nor was there anything wrong with the judgement
of the Greek who was so mad that he sat alone
in the theater for whole days on end, laughing,
applauding, enjoying himself, because he thought
that wonderful tragedies were being acted there,
whereas nothing at all was being performed."

"They are wonderfully clever in thinking up some
new way to deceive themselves."

"No one gives thanks for escaping from folly."

"You will not die badly if you live well."

"Quite the contrary--not to be deceived is most
miserable of all."

The Arabian Nights

The prologue is more interesting than I had thought.
At least it protrayed how traumatic the process is for
the king to become so mysogynous.:p

"He has guarded me and tried to keep me pure and chaste,
not realizing that nothing can prevent or alter what is
predestined and that when a woman desires something, no
one can stop her."

"Life has two days: one peace, one wariness,
And has two sides: worry and happiness.
Ask him who taunts us with adversity,
"Does fate, save those worthy of note, oppress?
Don't you see that the blowing, raging storms
Only the tallest of the trees beset,
And of earth's many green and barren lots,
Only the ones with fruits with stones are hit,
And of the countless stars in heaven's vault
None is eclipsed except the moon and sun?
You thought well of the days, when they were good,
Oblivious to the ills destined for one.
You were deluded by the peaceful nights,
Yet in the peace of night does sorrow stun."

"Her life is forfeit to you."

The man's life in the first night's story could be
won back by three stories. Does it mean that one's
life is as cheap as words or words are as precious
as people's life?

Trepidation: Fear
deftly: detexterous

For instance

tatoeba...

A prayer that can't reach.

It's a prayer that didn't reach.

For Instance
