LeGuin 這種天氣還滿想去Winter星球住的，夏天啊... 用Harth 跟 Ai兩人視角交錯的架構很有趣，充分地展示了兩種不同社會架構裡頭的對比和差異。中間穿插的一些Gethen故事跟記錄的敘事除了提供Karhide社會更多的理解之外，很多也巧妙地呼應到了Harth身上（例如他的名字，以及他與他兄弟Arek之間應該是有過什麼但沒有被寫出來的故事）。 比較弱的地方就是Karhide跟另一個國家的對比沒有很細膩，畢竟敘述集中在Karhide，然後兩個國家裡頭小孩和父母的互動與教育的敘述上也沒有很清楚。 另外比較無趣的感想但可能比較值得注意的地方：1. wholeness/太極 2.
