Kim Deal

Another song from the pillows :p
According to the lyrics, this song appears to be a tribute to another singer.
(I would google for it some day when I have time :D)

In my viewpoint, this is the highest praise, being moved by another person's song and repaying with one's own song and voice.

But still, I like the lyrics.

" Those songs flooding over the street can't dry my tears;
I search the whole world and there's only you.
Please sing for me, Darling."

"Even as time goes by and everything changes, that's all right.
It's wonderful. I want to peer into the depths of darkness in your eyes.
I want to peer into them!

Those fortunetellers with funny names can't see through your solitude.
I search the whole world and there's only me.
Please understand, Darling."

Those TV Psychologists can't see through your solitude.
Those worthless songs that evenone loves can't dry my tears.
I search the whole world and there's only you.
Please sing for me.
Please understand."

(That's part of my poor translation.)

For me, there's some kind of force in the lyrics, some kind of absoluteness that can move people.

Sing for me, not in the voice of angels, but in the voice of human beings.
Sing with your passions, sing with your solitude, sing with your life.
And then I'll sing for you, though you may not hear my voice.
